Southwest Virginia's premiere St. Patrick's Day event, the Roanoke St. Patrick's Day Celebration is now in its 21st year and continues to grow. The event is Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 10am until 5pm, with the McDonald’s St. Pat’s Parade starting at 11:00am. The Celtic Festival and the parade take place right in heart of downtown Roanoke, VA. Together it’s one of the largest St. Pat's Celebrations in the entire mid-Atlantic region. Over 2,500 marchers plus over 10,000 spectators from across the entire region are expected. One reason for the success of this parade and festival is the family-friendly nature of the entire Celebration.

The Parade steps off at 10:00am on March 13, 2010. Don't miss the After Parade Party, presented by the Columbian Club of Ocean View starting at noon at the Knights of Columbus Lot featuring live bands: The Craig Woolard Band and Hot Cakes. Plenty of food and refreshments will be available as well

The 8th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade includes fire trucks, classic cars, high school marching band, community organizations, Irish dancers, horses, military equipment and local pageant winners. Parade ends at new home of Blue & Gray Brewing.
