The 10th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will reflect the Irish contribution to the history of Central Pennsylvania and beyond.
Sunday March 14 – Noon
The first St. Patrick's Day Parade held in Philadelphia was back in 1771, five years before the Declaration of Independence was signed. With over 240 continuous years of celebrations the Parade is the 2nd oldest in the country, topped only by the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Saturday, March 13th – 10:00am
This year, the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh will proceed from the intersection of Liberty and 11 th Streets to Grant Street to the Boulevard of the Allies, where it will turn right. Proceed on the Boulevard of the Allies to the Reviewing Stand at Stanwix Street, then disburse at Commonwealth Place.
Saturday March 13th - Noon
The parade will feature Bagpipe bands as well as string bands, professional, high school and other musical bands. There will also be an array of colorful floats, step dancers, school spirit groups and of course marchers!
